Frank Solich has done an exceptional job at Ohio, putting together five eight or more win seasons since taking the job in 2005; however, he is still chasing his first league championship. If the latest 2013 College Football Predictions are correct, the Bobcats should be in the hunt for the MAC title this year. Ohio is a second pick to win the MAC's East Division at +300 odds ($100 wins $300) and it is a fourth choice to win the conference championship at +700 odds. The Bobcats, which posted a 9-4 record last season thanks to a 45-14 Independence Bowl win over Louisiana-Monroe, are presently favored to win Under 9.5 regular season games at -280 odds ($280 wins $100).
Ohio would seemingly have an advantage over the rest of the East Division with the exception of last year's second place finisher Bowling Green. Bowling Green, the favorite to win the East this season, defeated a favored Ohio squad 26-14 in Athens last season. This year the Bobcats face the Falcons on the road and their November 12th clash at Perry Stadium could well determine the division winner.
