New York found a way to win last week, taking advantage of a Kansas City team that could not put points on the board. They held the Chiefs to three field goals in an overtime battle that saw the G Men pick up just their second win of the season. New York was out-gained by almost 100 yards in that game and saw a negative seven minutes on the time of possession, but three turnovers by the Chiefs proved to be enough of a difference in the game.
Washington recently beat Seattle on the road, but consecutive losses to Minnesota and New Orleans have the Skins at 4-6. Kirk Cousins is tossing for tons of yards, but the loss of Chris Thompson running out of the backfield is going to be a problem. Thompson is tied with Jamison?Crowder (39) for the most catches by any Skins player and he’s second on the team in targets, plus he leads the team with four touchdown receptions. Cousins is going to have to rely on throwing the football to someone else, but the Skins do have several other explosive options.
The Giants have no run game and Eli Manning has been dealt a tough hand with several key receivers going down. Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram have produced when Manning has gotten them the football and it’s worth noting the Skins are in the bottom 10 of pass defenses this year.
