NFL Sunday Washington Redskins vs Cleveland Browns: Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Washington Redskins are in Cleveland, Ohio today for an inter-conference clash with the red hot Browns. Start time in this afternoon’s meeting between the Redskins and Browns is set for 1:00pm ET on FOX. NFL Sunday Washington Redskins vs Cleveland Browns odds are favoring Cleveland at -2.5 against the spread. Washington, which is playing without its fearless but injury prone leader Robert Griffin III, is drawing +120 moneyline odds to keep its four game win streak intact.

The Redskins enter this game as one of the hottest teams in the league, having secured four consecutive wins over Philadelphia, Dallas, NY Giants, and Baltimore. However, the catalyst behind their push to make the playoffs, rookie signal caller Robert Griffin III, will not be in action this afternoon.

Griffin suffered a severe knee sprain in Washington’s 31-28 overtime win over the Ravens last week, a development which has led head coach Mike Shanahan to start another rookie under center in Kirk Cousins.

Cousins threw two passes in relief of Griffin last week, but he completed both of them, including a game winning 11 yard touchdown strike to Pierre Garcon. For the season Cousins is 7-for-11 for 137 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Unfortunately for the Redskins, they have arrived in Cleveland shorthanded at the worst possible time. While the Browns, at 5-8, are a postseason long shot, they are playing good football.

Cleveland extended its own win streak to three games last week, drilling the hapless Chiefs 30-7 at the Dawg Pound. The victory marked the Browns fourth win in their last five home games and the fourth time in the last six games that they held a team to 17 or fewer points. Cleveland is just 2-6 against winning teams, but one of those wins came three weeks ago at home against a Steelers team that was also missing its starting quarterback.

Free Pick: Take the Browns -2.5.

Washington Redskins vs Cleveland Browns NFL Odds:

Washington Redskins +2.5 (+100), +120 (Moneyline)

Cleveland Browns -2.5 (-120), -140 (Moneyline)
