NFL Sunday New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills Start Time, Odds

The Patriots will look to even their record at 2-2 today when they face AFC East rival Buffalo at Ralph Wilson Stadium in upstate New York (1:00pm ET start time, CBS). New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills Odds like Tom Brady and company to get the job done as they come into this contest a -4 against the spread road favorite. The Bills are drawing +165 moneyline odds ($100 wins $165) to pull off the upset and the game total is set at 49 points.

It is shocking that the Patriots own a 1-2 record, but the surprise has little to do with last weekend’s game. New England lost 30-31 at Baltimore, but it was lined as a 2.5 to 3 point dog in its meeting with the Ravens.

The stunner, and the reason the Pats are chasing the break even mark today, took place two weeks ago at Gillette Stadium when they lost 20-18 to the Cardinals in their home opener. Truthfully, though, all that matters to New England fans and backers is the team avoiding the dreaded 1-3 start.

Seeing the Bills should provided encouragement although the current version of the team looks a bit more intimidating than some of its more recent predecessors. Buffalo laid an egg in its season opener, losing 48-28 to the Jets at MetLife Stadium, but it has since bounced back with wins over the Chiefs and Browns.

Despite the Bills success over the last two weeks, New England fans are probably not sweating this game too much. Yes, the Patriots did fall 31-34 at Ralph Wilson Stadium last season, but they won seven in a row there prior to that upset. New England has also won nine of its last 10 playing as a 4 to 7.5 points favorite against the Bills; it posted an 8-1-1 against the spread mark in those games.

Buffalo will probably see a more motivated Pats squad today, and that does not bode well for the Bills chances of improving to 3-1 in the first quarter of the season.

NFL Sunday New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills Odds:

New England Patriots -4 (+100), Over 49 (-110), -190 (Moneyline)

Buffalo Bills +4 (-120), Under 49 (-110), +165 (Moneyline)
