The Indianapolis Colts are in Nashville today for a showdown with AFC South rival Tennessee at LP Field. The Colts continued their season long trend of alternating wins and losses last week as they bounced back from a 35-9 road embarrassment against the Jets with a 17-13 home win over the lowly Browns.

The victory, which saw Andrew Luck and company convert two of their three red zone opportunities, improved Indianapolis’ record to 3-3 overall and 3-1 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts, based upon their inability to string together wins and their 0-2 road record, would seemingly be a fade this afternoon; however, the Titans, despite their recent success, represent Indy’s easiest away test to date. The team’s first two road outings came against the Bears and Jets, and it proved woefully inadequate in each of those contests.

Tennessee, after opening the season 1-4, now finds itself in position to challenge Indy’s second place standing in the AFC South thanks to back to back wins over the Steelers and Bills.

The Titans were an underdog in both games, which is the only role they have been able to earn a cover in this season. Tennessee also notched an against the spread victory when it bumped off the Lions at LP Field as a 3.5 point dog.

The Colts have won six of the last seven in this series, but the Titans have covered the spread in five of the last six games between the two rivals at LP Field (underdog in all but two of those games).

Free Pick: Take the Colts +3.5. While Indy was not competitive in its first two road outings, it should be today. The Colts offense should have success against the Titans suspect defense, which makes the hook just too much to side with Tennessee.
