The NFL Season Win Totals have been released by the Las Vegas Hotel (formerly Hilton), and the Cincinnati Bengals have been tabbed with 8.5 wins this year for an over/under. There are several quality teams in the AFC North and the 8.5 wins for the Bengals is the second best projection in the division. The LVH has released season win totals for each of the NFL franchises and the Bengals are about middle of the pack.
A 10-win playoff team from a season ago, the Bengals fell to the Houston Texans in the opening round of the playoffs, 19-13. Cincinnati was a streaky team last season. They started 3-1 but then dropped four in a row, including three of which were at home. Then they ended the season with an impressive run, winning seven of their last eight games and the lone loss was a 20-19 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys. Young QB Andy Dalton threw for better than 3,600 yards and somehow the Bengals had a 1,000 yard rusher in BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Dalton's favorite target is going to continue to be A.J. Green, who caught 97 passes a season ago for better than 1,300 yards.
Dalton has a big target at tight end in Jermaine Gresham but decided to draft the best tight end in this year's NFL Draft as well with Notre Dame's Tyler Eifert. Both of those guys will allow Dalton to have some solid targets over the middle and will certainly help the Bengals in the passing game this season.
But their schedule is going to be tough. The Bengals open at Chicago before playing back to back games at home with Pittsburgh and Green Bay. They will also host the Patriots and Ravens this year. In road games this year the Bengals will have to travel to Buffalo, Detroit, Miami and then Baltimore in a five week streak during the middle of the season.
