The Miami Dolphins have not won more than seven games since the 2008 season; however, they have not lost fewer than six games during that same span of years. As such, the odds makers at Cantor Gaming have aptly set the Dolphins NFL season win total at 6.5 games (-120). While Miami seems to be stuck in a ‘middle of the pack’ rut, it may have a decent shot at escaping that ditch this season. With the exception of the New England Patriots, the AFC East looks relatively weak and the Dolphins look like the team most capable of benefitting from the division’s slide.

 

The Dolphins finished 7-9 last season, putting them ahead of both the Bills (6-10) and Jets (6-10), who were a combined -185 in point differential (Miami -29). With four games against those two squads on the schedule, a 2-2 split seems like a worse case scenario. Factor in winnable road games against the Browns, Colts, and Buccaneers as well as promising home meetings with the Bengals, Chargers, and Panthers, and another seven to eight wins looks like a strong possibility for this year’s Dolphins team.
