The Houston Texans are hosting the Arizona Cardinals in NFL Preseason action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the contest listed as a toss-up in what should be a solid game.
Arizona - Houston EVEN
Total: 41 points
The battle between Arizona and Houston features a pair of teams that started the preseason in opposite directions. Arizona is 0-2 on the campaign, Houston has opened up with a couple of victories.
Arizona has losses to Oakland and San Diego this year. In neither game did the offense look great, combining to score just 13 points in the two defeats.
Houston will be without J.J. Watt in this one. The Texans own victories over San Francisco and New Orleans to open the preseason, this will be the second home matchup for them.
The defense for Houston has been solid in both games to date, they’ve given up a combined 22 points in the two wins. Keeping Arizona around that number in itself will be a nice game overall.
Houston, playing at home, is the right move here. Brock Osweiler and the gang have some big expectations heading into this season, especially with the amount of money he was paid to be the team’s quarterback. The signal caller looked much better in his second game, so it will be interesting to see how he plays in this one.
