The Seattle Seahawks are on the road tonight when they take on the San Diego Chargers in NFL Preseason Football action. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Seahawks favored to pick up the win on the road in what should be a good game.
Seattle has started 0-2 this preseason, San Diego has been the opposite of that with its 2-0 record. One of the Chargers wins came over Dallas in the opening week, 17-7. Last week they gave up 19 points over Arizona, but the offense was good enough to pick up the win.
The Seahawks have dropped games to Denver and Kansas City, two teams that could make the playoffs this year. Seattle is battling injuries and guys deciding to stay off the field, but will Pete Carroll's team find a way to come together once the regular season comes around to defend their NFC title? Seattle is still considered to be the best team in that conference but with some distractions and players not on the field, it has led to a tough start in the preseason.
San Diego is a team that could be playing Seattle in the Super Bowl. The Chargers have an excellent quarterback in Phillip Rivers, but he needs to not turn the football over if San Diego is going to be a serious threat. Rivers didn't throw a pass in the team's most recent win over Arizona and the QB play without him struggled. The Chargers didn't run the ball well, either, collecting just 46 yards on the ground.
If the Chargers can concentrate on running the football and they can be efficient, San Diego can pick up a victory here tonight.
Both defenses will play well, San Diego will be looking to have a nice showing at home. Rivers and the Chargers veterans will have an impact and Seattle is not the complete team it will be once the regular season comes around and they're beating everyone up.

Vegas betting expert Steve Fezzik doesn’t expect the bad situation in Oakland to get much better this season. This AFC West team may have some improvements in terms of personnel, but Jack Del Rio is the latest in a carousel of ever-changing mediocre coaches, and Fezzik doesn’t expect he is the guy to turn this team around. He also thinks people are overstating Derek Carr’s abilities at quarterback, as he may do well in the fourth quarter, but his numbers are padded with garbage time performance.
