NFL Preseason Football Indianapolis Colts at St. Louis Rams Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The St. Louis Rams host the Indianapolis Colts in NFL Preseason Football action tonight. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live in both markets. Currently the odds for the game have the Rams favored by about field goal at home.

Indianapolis is a potential Super Bowl candidate this season, St. Louis is looking to build upon a six-win season last year. The Colts have been beat up pretty good by Philadelphia and Chicago in their first two preseason games, scoring 10 and 11 points in those contests. The Rams are also 0-2 on the year and have actually scored less points than Indy, totaling 17 in a pair of defeats to Oakland and Tennessee.

The Rams will be playing in their first home game this preseason and reports are the starters should see more time on the field tonight.

Generally the third preseason game sees the most regular rotation guys on the field with cuts coming next week. Teams are looking for the right fit and depth, but just how much will Nick Foles and Andrew Luck actually play tonight? That is, of course, assuming Foles will be the main guy to start the year for the Rams. Reports are Luck will see quite a bit of time, so that certainly gives the Colts an advantage.

With two 0-2 teams taking the field tonight, somebody has to win, unless regulation ends in a tie. The Colts have the better overall team and if Luck plays close to a half, Indianapolis is the way to go here.

Movie Oakland Raiders: 2015 NFL Free Picks & Betting Odds

Vegas betting expert Steve Fezzik doesn’t expect the bad situation in Oakland to get much better this season. This AFC West team may have some improvements in terms of personnel, but Jack Del Rio is the latest in a carousel of ever-changing mediocre coaches, and Fezzik doesn’t expect he is the guy to turn this team around. He also thinks people are overstating Derek Carr’s abilities at quarterback, as he may do well in the fourth quarter, but his numbers are padded with garbage time performance.
