NFL Preseason Football Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins meet on the gridiron this afternoon in NFL Preseason Football action. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live in both markets. Currently the odds for the game have the Dolphins favored to pick up the win at home.

Both Miami and Atlanta are looking to improve and reach the playoffs this season. Atlanta has battled injuries and inconsistent play in recent years but new head coach Dan Quinn is looking to implement a defensive-oriented team that will be physical and efficient.

Miami's defense should be good this year. They picked up Ndamukong Suh in free agency from the Lions and that will help solidify that defensive front line, but as a whole the Dolphins have really struggled on that side of the football this preseason. Chicago and Carolina combined to score 58 points against Miami in a pair of Dolphin losses, but both of those games were on the road for Miami.

Both teams have nice quarterbacks. Matt Ryan and Ryan Tannehill will both be looking for good seasons and each has weapons that can make plays once they get the football. Rookie DeVante Parker coupled with Greg Jennings, Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills should be able to be a nice corps for the Dolphins at receiver while Roddy White and Julio Jones are both rock solid for Atlanta.

With Miami finally playing at home, they look like a nice option here. They're 0-2 but favored, look for the Dolphins to pick up the win here.

Vegas betting expert Steve Fezzik doesn’t expect the bad situation in Oakland to get much better this season. This AFC West team may have some improvements in terms of personnel, but Jack Del Rio is the latest in a carousel of ever-changing mediocre coaches, and Fezzik doesn’t expect he is the guy to turn this team around. He also thinks people are overstating Derek Carr’s abilities at quarterback, as he may do well in the fourth quarter, but his numbers are padded with garbage time performance.
