The Oakland Raiders are hosting the Detroit Lions tonight in NFL Preseason action. The game is scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the NFL Network. Currently, the NFL Odds for the game has the Raiders favored to pick up the victory at home.

Chucky is back on the sidelines, officially tonight. Jon Gruden's team is still without its defensive leader in Khalil Mack, who is holding out for a new deal. He's also leaving better than $800,000 on the table if he no-shows tonight, but Mack seems to have dug his heels in and is not going to budge.

On the field, the Raiders will look for another big season from Derek Carr. He's got plenty of weapons built around him, now Oakland has to find a way to rebound from a tough season in 2017.

The Lions have a new coach in Matt Patricia, he comes over from New England. Detroit feels like he's the right guy (finally) to lead them to be a quality football team. The Lions are expecting to fight for a playoff spot, but it's going to be tough in the NFC North.
