NFL Point Spreads Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings Start Time, Free Pick

NFL Week 15 and we will see as the Philadelphia Eagles travel to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Vikings. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and be will televised on Fox. Current odds have Philadelphia listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 50.5.

Analysis: Critical game for the Eagles here as they look to keep their 1 game lead over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. The Eagles (8-5) have followed a slow start with five consecutive victories, posting a conference-best 31.6 points per game since Week 9. Nick Foles (NFL-leading 120.0 quarterback rating) threw for a touchdown and rushed for another in last week's win vs the Lions, but his near-record run ended at 19 touchdowns before throwing his first interception of the season. Nick Foles did throw a TD pass last week to Desean Jackson and the Eagles are now 6-1 when he catches a TD pass this year. LeSean McCoy, who leads the league with 1,305 rushing yards, is coming off a franchise-record 217-yard rushing performance against Detroit last week. Defensively, the Eagles have not allowed more than 21 points in a game since getting demolished by Denver 52-20 back on Sept. 29.Overall they are 30th in total defense and 30th vs the pass, but have allowed just 22.3 ppg, which is 13th.

Minnesota comes in at 3-9-1 on the year and are off one of the wildest fourth quarters you will ever see, as they and Baltimore exchanged leads six times in the fourth quarter, including five lead changes in the final 2:05, before Minnesota fell on Joe Flacco's touchdown pass to Marlon Brown with four seconds left. Matt Cassel will get another start for Minnesota and knows that he might have an expanded role on Sunday, as the league's second leading rusher, Adrian Petersen, is expected to miss this game, plus backup RB Toby Gebhart also missed practice time this week. Overall the Vikings have bee average on offense, ranking 14th in yards and 14th in scoring (24.2 ppg), but on the defensive side of the ball they are ranked 31st in total defense, 39th in passing defense, while allowing 30.4 ppg, which is 31st in the league.

Pick: May be too many points for the Eagles to lay here, so I will go with the over. Last week the Eagles offense put up a ton of points in very poor conditions and in this one their offense will have a chance to shine once again on this fast track and in perfect dome conditions. The Eagles have averaged 25.7 ppg on the year, while ranking 3rd in total offense and 1st in rushing, and will face a horrid Vikings defense that is 31st overall and 30th vs the pass, while allowing 30.4 ppg on the year, which is 31st in the league. The Viking offense has been inconsistent this year, but they do average 25.5, while the Eagles have allowed 25 ppg on the road. Eagle road games have averaged 58.2 ppg, while Viking home games have averaged 56.4 ppg. I expect no less than that in this one.
