The Denver Broncos will look to continue their destruction of the rest of the league when they battle the Dallas Cowboys tomorrow afternoon at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Sunday's meeting between the Broncos and Cowboys is scheduled to kickoff at 4:25pm ET on CBS. The latest round of NFL Point Spreads from offshore bookmaker 5Dimes have Peyton Manning and company listed as -8.5 against the spread road favorites and the Over/Under set at 56.5 points. The Cowboys are drawing +270 money line odds ($100 wins $270) to record their third win of the season.
Denver has an embarrassment of offensive riches and its opponents have paid the price as a result. The Broncos are 4-0 and averaging a ridiculous 44.8 points per game while Peyton Manning has thrown for 1470 yards and 16 touchdowns. Manning's passer rating is an unfathomable 138 and his completion percentage, 75, is almost as staggering.
Of course, those number have translated into all comers looking something close to or south of inept, ham-fisted, clumsy, and, generally, hopeless when playing the Broncos.
There are many wondering if the Cowboys can avoid doing the same when they meet Denver tomorrow. Some contend Dallas represents the Broncos most difficult challenge to date, and that is probably true considering Denver has played outside Mile High just once and that came against the beleaguered New York Giants.
Still, the Cowboys are not the Seahawks, Saints, Patriots, or even the Chiefs. Dallas barely survived the aforementioned Giants in their season opener at AT&T Stadium and they are 0-2 on the road with losses to KC and San Diego. The Pokes best performance came in a 31-7 drubbing of the Rams, but given St. Louis' defensive play this season it is easy to make the case for Denver scoring 60 against Jeff Fisher's squad.
The tendency is always to side with a respectable team, which Dallas is, getting a touchdown or better at home; however, Denver is forcing convention out the window. There is no point in fading these Broncos until they start playing in cold weather. Recommendation: lay the points with Denver or pass.
