The red hot Seattle Seahawks will take their shot at an NFC Championship Game appearance when they battle the top seeded Atlanta Falcons this weekend. Sunday’s Divisional Round dust up between Seattle and Atlanta is scheduled to get underway at 1:00pm ET on FOX. The latest NFL Playoffs Odds have the Falcons listed as a -2.5 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at 45.5 points.
Some were hesitant to back the Seahawks, despite their late season surge, when they opened as a 2.5 point favorite in last weekend's Wild Card game at Washington. Seattle rewarded its backers and proved the odds makers correct, though, with a 24-14 victory.
There seems to be no vacillating this time around with Pete Carroll’s squad catching points against the 13-3 Falcons. While Atlanta owns the better record, most everyone considers Seattle the better team and more than capable of pulling off the upset.
Atlanta, at -2.5, is, apparently, appealing to some, though, as it is garnering 60 percent in the latest spread betting percentages (Check out Pregame’s SportsbookSpy). This is understandable as well considering the Falcons 7-1 home record (average margin of victory 9.3 points).
