NFL Playoffs Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys Start Time, NFL Odds

The Dallas Cowboys are hosting the Green?Bay Packers in NFL?Playoff action on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 4:40 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX. The NFL?Odds for the game have the Cowboys favored to pick up the win.

NFL?Odds
Dallas -5
Total: 52.5 points

Dallas, the top overall seed in the NFC, can’t be happy they get to take on the Green?Bay Packers in this contest. The Cowboys worked all season on earning the top spot in the NFC and the first time they take the field, they get to face arguably the hottest team in the league in the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers is playing out of his mind right now. He’s thrown for 19 touchdowns and zero interceptions the last seven weeks, leading Green Bay to a 6-1 record and a spot in the playoffs. The one downfall for the Packers could be the loss of red zone target Jordy Nelson, who caught 14 touchdowns and 97 passes this season. But when you have the best quarterback in football playing at an elite level, especially inside a dome stadium, the Packers still have to feel pretty good about their situation.

Dallas has a pair of excellent young talents in Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, but neither has played in the post season. The offensive line, the best in pro football, has kept both youngsters healthy this season. Obviously Dallas wants to establish the run game and get Elliott going early, but Green Bay is pretty solid against the run, allowing less than 95 yards per game, which ranks eighth-best in the league.

The Cowboys defense is the best against the run in pro football, but the Packers aren’t a team that relies too much on the ground game. Ty Montgomery has slid over to tailback from wide receiver and made a decent impact there, but Mike McCarthy will no doubt give Rodgers the entire offense to use.

Rodgers is playing at such a high level, the Packers are a veteran playoff team that has been in this situation before and they are playoff tested. They will win the game.
