The New Orleans Saints are hosting the Seattle Seahawks in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. The NFL Odds for the game have the Seahawks favored by a slim margin to pick up the victory on the road.
Total: 48 points
Seattle is coming off an overtime tie with Arizona last week in the Sunday night game. The Seahawks defense played well in only giving up six points the entire game, but it also speaks to the struggles of the offense as well. The Seahawks should have no issues moving the football against a poor defense like New Orleans.
The Saints give up the most points in the league at 32.5 per game and the 403.8 yards per game they surrender is the fourth-worst among teams. Seattle can move the football with Russell Wilson and an offense that has actually been better through the air this season than on the ground. Having losing retired Marshawn Lynch has something to do with that, but as a whole the Seahawks just haven’t run the football as well.
Wilson has some solid weapons on the edge and Jimmy Graham should be juiced up to face his former team here. The Saints are still a team that can put up numbers with Drew Brees, who averages better than 339 yards through the air per game and the 29.3 points per game is good for second-most in the league.
It won’t be easy to put up those types of numbers against a Seattle defense that is still one of the best in pro football. Seattle surrenders just 14 points per game and is sixth in total defense.
