The Washington Redskins and Indianapolis Colts meet up in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the game have the Colts favored by nearly double digits in this one.
Indianapolis is going to have no problems scoring points and making Washington look awful. The Colts are one of the better teams in the NFL on offense this season, led by Andrew Luck and the impressive passing attack. Luck's 323 yards per game through the air are the most in the NFL. Indy is very good on their own turf as well, going 4-2 while averaging 26 points per game. The Colts have won with tons of points and they've also won ugly. Either way, the offense seems to always be playing well.
Washington is a mess. Robert Griffin III and head coach Jay Gruden seem to have some problems and now the quarterback is being benched. Colt McCoy, who won his only start of the season over the Dallas Cowboys, looked comfortable in that one. He should feel comfortable in this contest as well with Indianapolis being one of the middle of the road type of defenses. The Redskins are going to have to establish the run in this one with Alfred Morris. If Washington can keep possession of the ball, run some clock and keep the ball away from Luck and the Colts, they're going to hang around.
And it's not like the Washington defense is terrible. They rank inside the Top 10 against the run and pass this season, but with the inconsistencies of the offense it hasn't given the Redskins much hope or wins.
With the turmoil going on with the Redskins and the Colts being able to move the football, Indianapolis will be able to pick up the win in this one. Look for Trent Richardson to have a better game in this one as he is the new go-to guy in the backfield with Ahmad Bradshaw's injury. Indy should have no problems here.
