The San Francisco 49ers are heading east to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the game have the Steelers favored by about a touchdown to get the victory.

The 49ers got a huge win last week on Monday Night Football, beating the Minnesota Vikings despite all the troubles during the off-season. San Francisco looked like a dominant team again, but is that really the same type of effort the 49ers are going to bring on a consistent basis? This will be the first road game (obviously) for San Francisco under new boss Jim Tomsula, who hails from Pennsylvania but might not have the best homecoming. The Steelers are still smarting from a loss in the opener to New England where Tom Brady threw four touchdown passes.

Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers have become more of an offensive team, being less about the hard-nosed defense. Roethlisberger threw the football 38 times against New England, getting a touchdown and a pick. The Steelers are going to want to air it out again today, getting the football to Antonio Brown as much as possible. Le’Veon Bell is still suspended for this one, but DeAngelo Williams pounded out 127 yards on the ground against the Pats. Williams appears to be a nice option for the Steelers until Bell is back on the field and could be a very solid supplemental back as well.

San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick didn’t factor into a touchdown last week against the Vikings, but Carlos Hyde made a big impression. Hyde ran for 168 yards and two scores as the 49er offense looked very solid.

Playing in the early game on the East Coast won’t be easy for the 49ers and Pittsburgh is going to score points at home. San Fran had a lot more time to prepare for the Vikings and Roethlisberger will lead Pittsburgh to a nice win.
