NFL Odds
Pittsburgh -9
Total: 48 points
The Steelers were posted as big favorites in this game after it was announced Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will miss the contest because of concussion protocol. Because of this, backup Scott Tolzien will get the start. Tolzien, a career-backup, is in his sixth season out of Wisconsin and has just one career touchdown pass.
Pittsburgh's defense isn't what it used to be, but they should be able to feast on the inexperience of Tolzien under center.
Both teams come into the game with 5-5 records, the Steelers have lost four of their last five games overall, but recently picked up a win over the Cleveland Browns. Ben Roethlisberger is back, coming off injury and he should be fine in this one. The Colts are obviously not a good defensive team, plus they rank third-worst in the league against the pass. Roethlisberger has weapons and is mobile enough to work his way around the pocket and put up some big numbers.
Le'Veon Bell should pile up the yardage as well, the Colts are surrendering 4.5 yards per attempt to opponents this season, but magically they have only allowed seven touchdowns on the ground this season.
Without any real knowledge of Tolzien and what he can bring, the Steelers should have no issues scoring against a bad Colts defense and they cap off Turkey Day with several touchdowns.
