Sunday NFL and we will see the New York Giants travel to the Edward Jones Dome to take on the St Louis Rams. The game has a start time of 4:05 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on FOX. Current Vegas odds have the Rams listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 43.5.  

Analysis: The New York Giants have had a miserable year going just 5-9 so far, but they do come in on a two game win streak and they have taken the last 5 in the series with the Rams. The Giants are 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 games on turf and 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. New York comes in ranked 14th in total offense, 13th in passing offense, 23rd in rushing and 15th in scoring (22.6 ppg). The Giant defense has not been so good as they rank 27th in total defense, 14th vs the pass, 30th vs the run and 20th in scoring defense (24.2 ppg).

The St Louis Rams have pulled a couple of nice upsets at home, including one vs the Broncos and 1 vs the Seahawks. Still they are just 3-4 at home and 6-8 overall for the year. The Rams are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS loss and 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, but just 0-45-2 ATS in their last 67 games after allowing less than 150 yards passing in their previous game. St Louis has not been a very good offensive squad this year, ranking 26th in total offense, 26th in passing, 20th vs the run and 20th in points scored. The defense for the Rams has been very solid over the second half of the year and overall they come in ranked 12th in yards allowed, 11th vs the pass, 12th vs the run and 13th in points allowed (21.2 ppg).  

Pick: Im gonna go with the Giants in this one. They always seem to play very well in December and they have already won both games played in this month so far. The Rams are not a great team i the role as a favorite, as evidenced by last week when they we 6 point favorites over Arizona and lost 12-6. The Rams have a solid defense but their offense is still not very good and I just don't see them putting up enough points to win this one comfortably. I also wouldn't be surprised to see the Giants come away with the outright win here, which would be their 6th in a row in this series.
