The?New England Patriots are on the road in NFL?Football action on?Saturday, taking on the Miami Dolphins. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. The NFL?Odds for the game have the Patriots favored by a comfortable margin, even on the road.
NFL?Odds
New England -9.5
Total: 44.5 points
New England has already wrapped up the AFC?East and will have a first round bye in the playoffs. They can finish as the top overall seed in the AFC if Oakland stumbles against Denver, which is becoming more of a possibility now that Derek?Carr has ended his season with a broken leg.
The Patriots probably won’t play their starters the majority of this game but they should see some time on the field. Miami has already qualified for the playoffs as well with a 10-5 record. This could be one of those weaker, low-scoring games where neither team is playing at a high level and the game looks disinteresting.
Tom Brady and the Pats area always looking to win each time they take the field and because of that, Bill Belichick and the gang have the upper hand here. Being favored by almost double digits is indication enough that the starters will play long enough to have a big impact.
The Patriot defense is pretty good too, plus New England has won all seven of its road games this season. If they are focused, the Patriots can win easy, especially with the Dolphins already qualifying for the playoffs.
