NFL Football Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers Start Time, Betting Odds, Free Pick

The Green Bay Packers are hosting the Minnesota Vikings in NFL Football action on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. The betting odds for the game have the Packers favored to pick up the win at home.

NFL Odds
Green Bay -7
Total: 43.5 points

Green Bay still has its eyes set on making a playoff berth this season. The Packers are still alive in the NFC North this year and they play the Detroit Lions on the final week of the regular season in what could be a winner take all spot for a division crown. The Packers have been in this situation before, the Lions have not won a division title in more than 20 years.

Adrian Peterson has been ruled out for Minnesota in this game, he’s still nursing some issues with his knee that was operated on earlier this season. Odds are he came back too fast for the Vikings and now is dealing with some residual soreness and problems.

Speaking of problems, remember when Minnesota was 5-0 and was the last unbeaten team in the NFL? That was quite a while ago and since then the Vikings are just 2-7 overall. Green Bay, on the other hand, has now won four straight weeks and is starting to get its playmakers healthy and on the field again. Jordy Nelson, Davonte Adams and Jared Cook all have made an impact on games in recent time and they’ll look to put up more numbers against a Minnesota defense that just gave up 34 points to Indianapolis last weekend.
Minnesota’s offense just can’t keep up in a higher-scoring game. The Vikes are averaging less than 16 points the last five road games and Green Bay looks pretty strong on offense, scoring 34 points per game on average the last two against Seattle and Chicago.

Aaron Rodgers and the Pack are a perennial playoff team, having made it each of the last seven years. Losing a game here to the Sam Bradford led Vikings would really hurt that streak.

Free Pick: Green Bay
