NFL Football Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers Start Time, NFL Odds, Free Pick

The Carolina Panthers are hosting the Minnesota Vikings in NFL Football action on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. The NFL Odds for the game have the Panthers favored to pick up the victory.

NFL Odds
Carolina -7
Total: 43 points

The Carolina Panthers look like they’re going to be hosting this game despite some of the protesting going on in Charlotte. Officials have said they will be monitoring the situation to make certain they can play the game at home.

Minnesota comes into the game fresh off a big win over the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings are going to be without Adrian Peterson for the near future as he went down with injury in that game, but Peterson really wasn’t a big factor in either of the team’s opening two matchups.

Carolina is on an insane run against the spread in home games, posting a record of 20-7-1 over their last 28 home games dating back three and a half seasons. Cam Newton and the Panthers have been pretty strong offensively as well, which has helped them become the best team in the NFC. Newton had a big game last week with TD passes to his two favorite targets in Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin.

Minnesota sports a Top 5 defense, so it’s tough to see Newton having a huge game with big numbers. Carolina’s defense is excellent as well, which makes the possessions important in this matchup. Without Peterson, it’s unlikely Sam Bradford will lead the Vikes to a win in Carolina.
