NFL Football Jacksonville Jaguars at Detroit Lions Start Time, Betting Odds, Free Pick

The Detroit Lions are hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars in NFL Football action on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. The NFL Odds for the game have the Lions favored to pick up the victory at home here.

NFL Odds
Lions -7
Total: 47 points

The Lions have played themselves into first place in the NFC North, holding the tiebreaker over the Minnesota Vikings. Detroit has actually been out-scored by a single point this season, but that’s because all of their games have been close.

Detroit has actually trailed with less than two minutes to go in all five of their wins this season. The four losses have come by a combined 18 points.

Jacksonville is once again terrible, going 2-7 while only winning one of their four road games this season. Blake Bortles has not gotten better this season and he’s thrown a poor 11 interceptions and it doesn’t help the Jags can’t run the football.

Because they throw the ball so much, the Lions don’t run the football well, either. Theo Riddick gives them a decent option coming out of the backfield but consistency has been a problem for them in that aspect this year. Matt Stafford is once again throwing the ball all over the yard and the Lions are hot, winning four of the last five games overall.

Detroit hasn’t pulled away from anybody this season, which makes the line here interesting. They’re a great team at home with that group of receivers and Stafford should have no problems throwing the football here.
