The Minnesota Vikings are hosting the Houston Texans in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. The NFL Odds for the game have the Vikings favored at home to pick up the win.
Total: 40 points
The low total here is an indicator of a couple of the league’s best defenses. Both Houston and Minnesota can get after it on that side of the football and will look to battle it out to keep points off the board.
Houston is going without J.J. Watt, which will hurt a bit. Minnesota is no stranger to injuries with their stars as both Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson have been sidelined with significant injuries. The Vikings haven’t cried about it and instead have gone out and played well on both sides of the football.
Minnesota is averaging five sacks per game, they are going to bring pressure and come after Brock Osweiler here in this one. Osweiler hasn’t been the most consistent quarterback to date, having thrown for more than 200 yards only once. In fact, the Houston offense has been pretty poor all year, having scored just five touchdowns. Going up against a stingy defense like the Vikings bring each week is going to be tough for the Texans to get on track. Minnesota has surrendered just 12.5 points per game.
