But Detroit still has a couple of chances to increase their morale coming into the playoffs. Matt Stafford and the Lions are playing in the biggest game for the franchise in some time. Detroit hasn’t won a division crown since 1993 and tonight they get a chance to be able to capture one at home.
Green Bay is no stranger to playing in big games, so they should feel comfortable in this position. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have to avoid being one-dimensional tonight. They are going to need to run the football to keep the Lions honest here. Darius Slay is Detroit’s best defender; it’s also his birthday so expect him to play tonight.
The Lions have a lot of pressure on them tonight because it’s such a big game at home. Stafford can lead the offense up and down the field against the Packers, but it’s going to take touchdowns and not field goals to beat Green Bay.
