Green Bay is coming off a close loss at Minnesota last week, ending their opening two-week binge of playing in road games. The Lions are also coming off a game where they should have won, falling 16-15 to the Titans last week in Detroit.

The Packers went 10-6 last season and dropped all three games to NFC North teams inside Lambeau Field. Detroit won 18-16 in Green Bay a season ago, the Packers were behind the entire game and scored 13 of their points in the fourth quarter. That win was the first for Detroit since 1991 at Lambeau and Matthew Stafford had a decent game with a couple of TD passes and he has been strong his last 10 games, pitching it for 23 touchdowns to just three picks during that time.

This should be a welcomed contest for the Pack. Aaron Rodgers at home is always a safe bet and the Packers not only have revenge against Detroit in this occurrence, but it’s the home opener and Lambeau should be fired up.
