The New England Patriots are hosting the Cincinnati Bengals in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. The NFL Odds for the game have the Patriots favored by a comfortable margin to pick up the victory at home.
New England -7.5
Total: 47.5 points
Tom Brady is back and the onslaught on the rest of the NFL will now commence. Brady and the boys are now 4-1 overall and beat up on Cleveland last weekend. Now the Patriots return home to take on another team from Ohio in the Bengals in Brady’s return to Foxboro. The Pats have the best tight end combination in the league with Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett.
Brady loves to throw the football to the tight ends and it can be difficult for teams to cover them, including here for the Bengals. Andy Dalton has put up some big numbers this season through the air, he’s averaging better than 282 yards but the Bengals just aren’t scoring enough points. The 18.4 points per game is tied for 24th best in the NFL and it’s not going to be enough to hang around with New England.
Cincinnati is banged up on the offensive line and New England’s defense isn’t terrible. The Patriots are giving up just over 14 points a game to opponents, which ranks inside the Top 5 in the league. Playing at home, with Brady looking to stomp on everyone, with Cincinnati being banged up can be a problem for the Bengals.
