Pro Football Vegas Betting Odds Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins Free Pick

Saturday NFL and we will see the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. The game has a start time of 4:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on the NFL Network. Current Vegas odds have the Philadelphia listed as 7 point favorites, while the total is set at 50.

Analysis:  The Philadelphia Eagles were sitting pretty atop the NFC East division and really need to just beat Dallas to walk away with the division, but the Cowboys had other Idea in their 38-27 win over the Eagle on Sunday night. Now the eagles seem like they are in a fight for their playoff lives. The Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games, but just 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game. The Eagles have been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 5th in total yards, 7th in passing, 8th in rushing and 4th in scoring (29.7 ppg). The defense for the Eagles has not been that good, ranking 27th in yards allowed, 28th vs the pass, 18th vs the run and 22nd in points allowed (24.8 ppg).

The Washington Redskins have had a horrible season, going just 3-11 so far, which includes a 2-4 mark at home. Since beating Tennessee and Dallas in BB weeks, the Skins have now lost 6 games in a row. Washington is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in Week 16, but just 1-24-6 ATS in their last 41 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. loss. The Skins have not been a great offensive team, ranking 12th in total offense, 10th in passing, 21st in rushing and 26th in scoring (18.4 ppg). The Defense comes in ranked 10th in yards allowed, 17th vs the pass, 7th vs the run and 27th in points allowed (26.4 ppg).

Pick: I will be going with the Eagle in this one. Washington has thrown in the towel right now, while the Eagles are fighting for their playoff lives. Motivation will clearly be on the side of the Eagles. The Skins have had just a horrible season and has used 3 QBs in the process, with no good results from any of them. In this game they are back to RG3, thanks to injuries to Cousins and McCoy. The eagle defense is not great, but they should be able to keep him and company under wraps. The Eagle offense has been one of the best in the league this year and they did score 37 points on Washington in the first meeting of the year. The Eagles have averaged 29.7 ppg this year, while Washington has put up just 18.4 ppg. This game means much, much more for the Eagles and I see them playing that way and blowing out the punchless Skins in this one.
