The Denver Broncos are hosting the Baltimore Ravens in NFL Football action on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Broncos favored by more than a field goal in this one to win.
Peyton Manning returns for another season to lead the Denver Broncos this year. Manning and the Broncos have their window closing when it comes to Super Bowl contenders, a win here tonight against Baltimore would be a good way to start the season. This is the second time Denver is hosting Baltimore to open the season from the past couple of years. Back in 2013 Manning tossed for seven touchdowns and the Broncos looked like the most unstoppable force in the league.
Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco once again has a solid group of receivers to get the football to, having Justin Forsett in the backfield is also a major plus. The Ravens want to establish the ground game behind that big offensive line, but having Flacco tossing the football around is also in the gameplan.
Denver’s got a new coach in Gary Kubiak, last year’s Baltimore offensive coordinator. Whether or not he brings any insight into what the Ravens will be running tonight remains to be seen. If anything, it’s not likely the Ravens will have the same tendencies with a new coordinator.
Offensively the Broncos no longer have Julius Thomas at tight end, but Owen Daniels not mans the position. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are both going to be big targets again for Manning and the Broncos, if Denver can keep Manning from getting sacked they’ll be in good shape.
