The New Orleans Saints will host the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 3:05 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX. The NFL Odds for the game have the Saints favored to pick up the victory in this one.

This is a rematch from a game earlier in the season, one where the Saints beat the Rams 45-35 at home. New Orleans got out ahead in that one early, leading 35-17 at halftime and holding on for the win. This game will be the fist time Los Angeles is in the underdog role this season and the Rams playing inside a dome probably won’t be too much of a bad thing.

LA will look to stop the Saints from running the ball with Ndamakong Suh and Aaron Donald up the middle. The Rams allowed 141 yards on the ground in the first matchup, that help set up the passing game for Drew Brees, who threw for almost 350 yards and four touchdowns. LA has enjoyed talking a big game with their guys in the secondary, who can be good, but they’re going to have to back it up here in this one.

Sean Payton against Sean McVay should be fun. Both teams can put up points and being inside the dome should make this one fun to watch. New Orleans is 6-0 in the dome in the Payton-Brees era and Brees has thrown for an average of better than 300 yards in those contests.

Jared Goff and Todd Gurley. Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas and Mark Ingram. There are stars on both teams offensively and as long as New Orleans doesn’t go on those lengthy drives, the over has to be taken into play here.
