The Denver Broncos are hosting the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. The NFL Odds for the game have the Broncos favored to pick up the win at home.

This is an awfully big number, even with the Giants having all kinds of problems. New York has lost some excellent players on the offensive side of the football and Eli Manning really has nobody else to throw the football to, which could be an issue here. The Giants really aren’t good at running the football.

Through the air, Sterling Shepherd looked to be the last remaining option for Manning, but he’s not going to play in this one.

It might not matter anyway as the Broncos are the best rush defense in the NFL, allowing just under 51 yards per game to opponents. Von Miller will be wreaking havoc in this one, coming after Manning repeatedly and looking for a big impact.

The Broncos are 6-1 the last seven seasons coming off a bye. Playing in Denver is not easy for opponents and in prime time and with no legitimate threats for big plays, the Giants really have no shot here.

Denver will score some points, but it’s tough to see them soaring over the total by themselves in this one. The defense will be the difference.
