The Oakland Raiders are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. The NFL Odds for the game have the Chiefs favored to pick up the victory on the road.
NFL Odds
Kansas City -3
Total: 47 points
Derek Carr played for Oakland last week after suffering an injury a few weeks before. It didn't help the Raiders, who dropped a 17-16 decision to the visiting Chargers. Carr threw a pair of picks in that game and was not able to lead an Oakland offense to a win.
Kansas City's defense will be coming at Carr and bringing lots of pressure up front. The Chiefs were the final team in the league to lose a game, plus they've won 17 of the last 20 regular season games. Andy Reid's teams can get it done, but are they closer to the team that posted 33 points a game and better than 400 yards of offense or the team last week that struggled against the Steelers?
Even so, divisional road games are tough. Oakland looked like a title contender this season before the opening kickoff but now they have a lot of work to do. Carr coming back on only a handful of days rest after dealing with his injury could be a problem as well.
Kareem Hunt and Travis Kelce will both play big roles for Kansas City in this one.
