The New Orleans Saints are hosting the Detroit Lions in NFL Football action today. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. The NFL Odds for the game have the Saints favored to pick up the win at home.
NFL Odds
New Orleans -4
Total: 49.5 points
The Detroit Lions are 3-2, but their losses came by seven total points to Atlanta and Carolina. The funny thing is, both of those defeats came at Ford Field, where the Lions have been solid under Jim Caldwell.
The Saints just traded Adrian Peterson, but it looks like Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara are going to be the guys in charge in the run game. The Lions are the sixth-best team in the league against the run anyway, so it’s probably safe to say Drew Brees and the Saints won’t be lining up too much with the run game in mind.
Matt Stafford is banged up, but he’s a gritty guy that will be giving it a go.
Neither defense is great overall and both clubs can put up points.
