The red hot New York Knicks are on the road this evening for showdown with the Chicago Bulls. Tonight’s game between the Knicks and Bulls has a scheduled start time of 8:00pm ET at the United Center; the game will be broadcast live on TNT. The latest NBA Odds have the Knicks listed as a -4.5 against the spread road favorite and the Over/Under set at 191.5 points. The Bulls are drawing +165 moneyline odds to win their 23rd home game of the season.
The Knicks, who are officially the hottest team in basketball, extended their current winning streak to 13 games on Tuesday night with a 120-99 thrashing of the Wizards at Madison Square Garden. The dominating win, which came on the heels of a 125-120 win at Oklahoma City, saw Carmelo Anthony continue his torrid play as he notched 36 poitns on 13-of-21 shooting.
Anthony, who is averaging 40.6 points per game in the Knicks last five games, has scored fewer than 32 points just one time since March 27th.
The Bulls enter tonight’s contest having lost three of their last four games. Chicago fell to 42-35 on Tuesday when the Raptors pulled out a 101-98 victory at the United Center.
Chicago’s recent struggles may be bad news for the Knicks, though. The Bulls, who will be without Joakim Noah, figure to come into this evening’s game focused and their success against New York should only bolster their confidence.
Chicago is 3-0 against the Knicks this season, having beat New York 93-85 at the United Center and 110-106 and 108-101 at Madison Square Garden. The Bulls are 7-1 in their last eight meetings with the Knicks and their last home loss to New York came in November of 2010.
Notable Trends: The Bulls are 7-3 against the spread (5-5 straight up) in their last 10 games as a home underdog with a total between 190 and 195 points.
