2015 New York Giants Preview Super Bowl Odds Schedule Win Total

The New York Giants had a season they want to forget last year as they went just 6-10, but Vegas thinks they will bounce back some this year as their Win Total has been set at 8.5 (U -115). Vegas odds have the Giants listed at +320 to win the NFC East, +1700 to win the NFC Title and +3200 to win the Superbowl. A preview of the Giants along with their 2015 Schedule are below.

Last year the Giants offense ranked 13th in scoring, at 23.8 ppg, while also ranking 10th in total yards (367.2 ypg), 7th in passing (267.0 ypg) and 23rd in rushing (100.2 ypg). The Giants were an average offensive team last year, but the good news was that Manning did bounce back off a horrendous 2013 season. Last year threw for 4410 yards and have just 14 INTs, compared to the 27 he threw in 2013. A big reason for his better play was the hiring of Ben McAdoo, whose west coast offensive scheme really seemed to work well with Manning's talents. Also helping Eli was the emergence of WR Odell Beckham, who caught anything that was thrown with in a 2 mile radius of him. The Catches this guy made were astounding and it will be exciting to see what he does in his 2nd year. Reuben Randall and Victor Cruz round out a very strong WR corp. The Running game looks promising with Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams, plus Shane Vereen was signed to give Eli another target out of the backfield. The OL is not very strong this year, but the Giants did go out and get Guard Ereck Flowers with their first round pick. Even with him though this is still an average line at best.

Defensively the Giants ranked 22nd in points allowed (25.0 ppg), 29th in yards allowed (375.8 ypg), 18th vs the pass (240.6 ypg) and 30th vs the run (135.1 ypg). The Defense for the Giants was not very good, but hey hope that some key acquisitions will turn it around on this side of the ball. Starting with the defensive backfield the Giants lost both Antrel Rolle and Stevie Brown to free agency, but they did grab Safety Landon Collins with their 2nd pick in the draft and Mykkele Thompson with their 5th pick. The Giants are really hoping Collins comes through as they gave up 3 draft picks to take him. The DL has been a less than stellar of late and it really failed to generate much of a pass rush last year. They do have Jason Pierre-Paul along the line, but after losing a finger on 4th of July will he be ready for the start of the season and how effective will he be? They did add DE Owa Odighizuwa in the third round, plus Robert Ayers and Johnathan Hankins return after having solid year. Overall the line is talented and deep. The LB Corps looks average at best, but they do have Jon Beason, who was a monster on the inside and emerged as the defensive leader of the team. The Giant's did add 3 LBs through free agency, including JT Thomas, who could step in and help the team right away.

The Giants have a strong offensive team once again as they are now in the second year of McAdoo's system, plus Beckham is in his second year as well, so you can expect him to be a bit better.  They will also be helped if Cruz can stay on the field for the whole season, plus they need their OL to stay healthy as well as there is little depth there. Still I do expect Manning to have another big year and for the Giants to top last year’s numbers overall. The Defense was not that good last year, but their year they have brought back DC Steve Spagnuolo, who was instrumental in devising the game plane that beat the undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl a few years back. He has some solid talent to work with along the line and in the secondary, but the LB is average at best and has some holes. Tom Coughlin is on the hot seat and must get this team to the payoffs to save his job, but I don't see that happening the year as the schedule is rather tough, their offense is not elite and their defense has some holes in the middle. 8-8 at best for this team and I do not see them topping their posted win total.

MovieNCAA Football Betting Pick: Utah vs. Arizona State
The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming to Utah for a Pac-12 college football match up in October and pro bettors Teddy Covers and Steve Fezzik think the timing, the altitude, and the competition will be just too much for ASU. The Utes' stadium is a high-altitude venue, and the Sun Devils are going to be in the stretch of a rough run of games including match ups with conference heavyweights USC and Oregon. With this away game sandwiched between these tough games and no bye week to help them rest and recover, the thought is Utah will be the team to bet.
