It is how the NFC South will be won, well, in all likelihood anyway. The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, who are both 10-4, meet for the second and final time this season on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The victor will lay claim to the top spot in the division with just one game left to play. The odds maker's at 5Dimes expect that team to be Carolina, which is listed as a -3 NFL Point Spreads home favorite in the rivalry tilt. Sunday's clash between the Saints and Panthers is scheduled to kickoff at 1:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on FOX.

When the Saints and Panthers hooked up at the Superdome on December 8th, New Orleans dominated its division rival in scoring a 31-13 victory. Drew Brees and company tallied 24 first downs and 373 total yards while Carolina managed just 239 yards on 62 plays for a pathetic 3.9 yards per play average.

The Saints victory gave them a leg up in the NFC South title chase and it sent a strong message to the Panthers, who had won eight straight games going into the pivotal contest.

However, New Orleans finds itself in desperate need of a win this weekend thanks to last Sunday's unexpected 16-27 loss to the Rams. The turnover laden setback was a serious blow to the Saints, essentially forcing them to win out in order to win the division. And that is a tall task, indeed, with this game being played in Charlotte.

It is no secret New Orleans enjoys, perhaps, the best home field advantage in all of football, but it also becoming increasingly clear it has serious road troubles. The Saints are 1-4 in their last five road games and the lone win in that grouping came in 17-13 fashion against the 4-10 Falcons.

Making matters worse for New Orleans is Carolina's prowess at Bank of America Stadium. The Panthers are 6-0 at home since their season opening 7-12 loss to the Seahawks and only the Patriots were able to finish within four points of Cam Newton and company.

Notable Trends: The Panthers are 6-0 straight up and 5-1 against the spread in their last six games playing as a favorite against the Saints.
