The Sweet 16 has arrived for the NCAA Tournament and nothing has really changed since the beginning — Kentucky is still a big favorite to cut down the nets.
Games will get back underway tonight with Wichita State and Notre Dame opening up in the early game from the Midwest Region on CBS. Kentucky, Arizona and the matchup between North Carolina and Wisconsin all are in action again tonight.
Kentucky has been the best team in college basketball all season, marching out to an NCAA record 36-0 so far this year. A complete season would put them at 40-0 and the first team since the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers to finish a season unblemished. Tonight they take on a physical and press-oriented West Virginia team that has the potential to beat Kentucky, but will certainly have to play a great game on both ends of the floor, plus get some help from the Wildcats.
The below NCAA Tournament Odds, courtesy of BetOnline, have all remaining 16 teams paying out plus-money for a title. Kentucky is the overwhelming favorite still, being listed at +110 (Risk $100 to profit $110). Only Wisconsin, Arizona and Duke are less than 10-1 odds for a title.
The biggest longshots are West Virginia and UCLA at 100-1 while Xavier is listed as a 150-1 massive underdog to win the NCAA Tournament.
