College Football on Friday night and we will see the BYU Cougars travel to Logan, Utah to take on the Utah State Aggies. The game will be televised on CBSSN and has a start time of 8:00 PM (Eastern). Current Odds have Utah State listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 57.5.

Analysis: The BYU Cougars are off to a 2-2 start on the year and have alternated wins and losses so far. Statistically, the Cougars are very solid on both sides of the ball. On offense they come in 21^st in the nation in total yards, putting up 492.5 ypg, including 307.5 ypg on the ground, which is 4^th in the nation. Not the BYU offense we are used to seeing. QB Taysom hill leads the Cougs in rushing, with 565 yards so far and he has 741 yards passing to go along with that, but he does make mistakes as he has 1 TD pass to 4 INTs. Defensively the Cougars are pretty stout, allowing 320.5 ypg and 17.5 ppg on the year. The Cougars will get WR Cody Hoffman back for this game, but they have injury problems along the OL and at RB, while they are expected to be missing LB Tyler beck for this one.

Utah State already has two losses on the year, which is the same amount of losses that they had all of last year. Still this is a very formidable team that will make plenty of waves in the MWC this year. The offense, that ranks 24^th (491.2 ypg) in the nation in yards allowed and 24^th (40.4 ppg) in scoring, is led by one of the most athletic QB's in the nation in Chuckie Keeton. Chuckie has hit 71% of his passes this year for 1361 yards, with 17 Tds and just ONE INT. Wow. Chuckie has also added 224 yards on the ground and another 2 Tds. He is one of the best in the nation. Defensively the Aggies are very good, allowing just 315.4 ypg and 17 ppg. They allow just 126.5 ypg on the ground, which should be key vs this potent ground attack of BYU. UTAH state is 6-1 ATS the last 7 in the series and 4-0 ATS the last 4 played here between the teams.

Pick: I will be going with the Under in this one. Both of these teams can put points on the board, but both teams also play very sound defense, with BYU ranking 23^rd in total defense, while the Aggies come in ranked 22. The Aggies do like to throw the ball allot, but they also run it plenty as well, while BYU is a power running team and all that running should eat up some clock. The Under is 11-1 in BYU's last 12 Friday Night games, while the Under is 12-3 in Utah State's last 15 games following a straight up win. These teams put up just 9 total points in last years game, while each one of the last 6 in this series has failed to put up more than 52 points. This one should stay under that numbers.
