Washington State will look to bounce back from its second loss of the season when it meets Sonny Dykes' California Golden Bears at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. Saturday's dust up between the two Pac 12 North Division rivals is scheduled to get underway at 4:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1. The latest NCAA Football Odds are favoring the Cougars at -1.5 against the spread and -125 on the money line ($125 wins $100). Tomorrow's game total is set at 65.5 points.

There is no question Washington State is an improved team over last year as it has already matched last season's win total through just five weeks of play, but the team got a reality check last weekend.

The Cougars rode a three game win streak into Saturday's showdown with No. 5 Stanford and many felt their defensive play would allow them to keep the score relatively close against the Cardinal. Perception did not match reality, though, as David Shaw's squad buried Washington State 55-17 in Seattle.

The Cougars front, which was so successful in shutting down USC, Southern Utah, and Idaho, got steam rolled by the Cardinal rushing attack, which accounted for 238 of Stanford's 560 total yards.

This week Washington State faces a much different style in Cal's pass happy offensive attack. The Golden Bears are chewing up lots of yardage under their new head coach as they are averaging nearly 500 yards per game; however, their 20.5 point per game average indicates they have been anything but efficient.

Cal has also experienced a host of defensive problems this season, which should be music to the Cougars ears. The Golden Bears are giving up over 45 points and 500 yards per game, and they even allowed 30 points to FCS school Portland State.

Washington State has dealt some troubles moving the ball against better defenses like USC and Stanford, but it tallied 24 points against Auburn, 48 points against Southern Utah, and 42 points against Idaho.
