NCAA Basketball Picks Creighton Bluejays vs St John's Red Storm

College basketball on Sunday night and we will see the Creighton Bluejays travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the St John's Red Storm. The game has a start time of 7:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on Fox Sports 1. Vegas odds have the Bluejays listed as 3 point favorites, while the total sits at 144.

Analysis: Creighton has won four consecutive games, and eight of its last nine to move to 9-1 in the Big East, which is good for a first-place tie with Villanova. Is there a better duo in the nation than Doug McDermott (25.3 ppg) and Ethan Kragge (11.9 ppg), who both shoot over 50% from the and 80% from the charity stripe, while also combing for 164 three-pointers. Wragge, has made exactly half of his 162 3-point attempts this season, including 16-of-28 over his last four games. McDermott and Wragge are the only players scoring in double figures for a Creighton team that averages 81.2 ppg on 49.2% shooting on the year. Creighton isn't all about offense as they have been solid at the defensive end of the floor, allowing just 65.6 ppg on 40.8% shooting.

The Red Storm have won two games in a row and five of their last six altogether and now sit at 4-6 in-conference, while posting a 14-9 mark overall. The Red Storm have been solid on offense this year, averaging 73.2 ppg this season on 44.7% shooting. D'Angelo Harrison is the team's leading scorer at 18.3 points and is coming off BB 20-point efforts against Marquette (27 points) and Providence (22). Harrison is 9-of-17 from 3-point range over his last two contests. JaKarr Sampson is the only other Red Storm player to average double figures in points, netting 12.7 ppg, while leading the team in rebounding at 6.3 rpg.

Pick: I will go with the Under here. These two teams met just a short while ago and 123 points were scored in that game, which was played at Creighton. The OU line was also at 143 for that game and I don't exactly see why. St John's home games have averaged just 139 ppg and the first time the teams met, they held Creighton to just 63 points, which was the Bluejays lowest output of the year. St Johns has allowed just 64.5 ppg at home and have allowed no more than 63 points in 4 of their last 6 games overall. St John's averages 75.2 ppg at home, but they have averaged just 73.2 ppg in their last 5 overall and Creighton has allowed just 69.5 ppg on the road and just 67.6 ppg in their last 5 games. These are the same teams tat played a few days agog vs each other and I just do see 20 more points scored in this one than the 1st meeting.
