The Boston Celtics will host Atlantic rival and division leader Brooklyn tonight at the TD Garden. Start time in this evening’s NBA Wednesday rivalry tilt is scheduled for 7:30pm ET. Brooklyn will look to keep its closest competitors at bay and win a fourth straight game tonight when it takes on Boston. The Nets, who open a three game road set this evening, are coming off a 3-0 home stand which featured wins over the Clippers, Blazers, and Knicks.
Brooklyn’s road play has left much to be desired, though. The Nets are 2-3 in five away outings and they have yet to beat a winning team outside the Barclays Center. Fortunately for them, the Celtics have not exactly been an unstoppable home force this season, losing three of their seven games at the TD Garden.
Nonetheless, Boston does carry some momentum of its own into tonight’s game as it defeated the Thunder 108-100 at home last Friday and the Magic 116-110 in Orlando on Sunday.
The Celtics are also 3-1 in their last four home games with their only loss coming against the 12-3 Spurs, who are 8-1 in nine road games this season.
Boston, which lost 102-97 at Brooklyn on November 15th, has won seven of the last 10 in this series and it is 9-1 in its last 10 games as a host against the Nets.
