NBA Sunday Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs Betting Odds, Free Pick

Tonight in the NBA I will have a Free Pick in the game between the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs, which will take place at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The game has a start time of 7:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on NBA TV. Current Vegas betting odds have the Spurs listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 211.

Analysis: The Golden State Warriors come in with the best record in the NBA at 62-13 overall, which includes a 27-11 mark on the road.  The Warriors have won 17 of their last 18 games overall and are closing in on the number 1 seed overall in the NBA. Golden State has gone 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, but just 7-16 ATS in their last 23 road games in this series. The Warriors have been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 1st in scoring (109.9 ppg), 1st in shooting, 1st in 3 point shooting and 9th in FT shooting. Defensively the Warriors have been solid, ranking 14th in points allowed (99.2 ppg), 1st in defensive FG% and 3rd in 3 point defense.

The San Antonio Spurs come in hot as they have won 16 of their last 19 games, which includes winning their last 6 in a row. The Spurs are putting it together at the right time and are starting to win easily as they have outscored their opponents by 18.2 ppg in their last 16 wins, with 15 of the 16 wins coming by DD. The rest of the West needs to be very scared of this team. San Antonio has gone 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600. The Spurs have been a good offensive team this year, ranking 10th in scoring (102.9 ppg), 4th in shooting, 5th in 3 point shooting and 4th in FT shooting. Defensively the Spurs have been solid, ranking 3rd in points allowed (97.0 ppg), 12th in defensive FG% and 25th in 3 point defense.

Pick: I'm going with the Spurs here. This is a statement game for them. Both teams are playing really well right now, but I feel that the Spurs have more to play for here. They have really been outstanding at home of late and the Spurs do have revenge on their minds for an 11 point loss at Golden State back in February. The Spurs are 6-0 ATS their last 6 games at home and 4-1 ATS the last 5 games in this series. I see the Spurs pulling away late here.
