NBA Playoffs Odds: Spurs vs. Thunder Picks, Predictions and Spread

The NBA Playoffs continue Saturday night in Game 4 between the visiting San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The NBA Playoff odds for the game have the Thunder favored by 3.5 points. The game is scheduled for a 8:30 pm start time and it will be televised live on TNT. The spread shows that bookmakers have a prediction of a close win at home for the Thunder.

Picks: The Oklahoma City Thunder opened this game as 3.5 point favorites over the Spurs despite picking up a convincing win in Game 3. To see a line this low is a bit strange, especially if you're a Thunder backer/fan. Outside of the third game in this series, the two teams have played a tightly-contested game for the most part. I don't think anyone expected a 20-point win for Oklahoma City in the last game. However, it was a must-win situation and teams usually play well at home with their backs against the wall. That loss was the first in more than a month and a half for the Spurs, who had won 20 straight games. Now San Antonio must answer the bell again, this time coming off a defeat. How will they react? OKC did a great job of defending San Antonio's patented pick-and-roll situation and came away with a 20-point blowout win at home. Hmm. After scoring a postseason-best 120 points in Game 2 and averaging 109.4 during the winning streak, San Antonio was held to a season-low 82 points in Game 3. Thabo Sefolosha had a huge game, so it's hard to expect that kind of production out of him again. The Thunder still face the task of winning three out of the next four against a team that hadn't lost since April 11. Even worse, the Spurs would put Oklahoma City in a 3-1 hole that only eight teams in NBA history have overcome with a win tonight over the Thunder. James Harden and Kevin Durant are going to have to come up with big games again tonight.

Prediction: I think we like the Thunder again in this game. I like the way they defended the pick and roll to the basket in Game 3 of this series, and that's probably a pretty big reason they won the game overall. Obviously San Antonio will be able to make adjustments to that, but the Spurs gave something to Oklahoma City that the team was lacking after the opening two games — confidence. Expect the Thunder to play hard in this one and come out with a close home win. Thunder 101, Spurs 95
