The Chicago Bulls will look to continue their surprising resurgence tonight when they host the Washington Wizards at the United Center. This evening's meeting between the Wizards and Bulls is scheduled to tip off at 8:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on NBA TV. The latest Monday NBA Odds have Chicago listed as a -3 against the spread home favorite and the Over/Under set at 181.5 points.

The Bulls have dealt with a lot of adversity, losing star players to injury while trading others away, but they have, surprisingly, remained competitive through it all.

Chicago looked as though all of its troubles had finally caught up to it following a 95-107 loss to the Thunder on December 19th. The setback was the seventh in eight games for the Bulls and it dropped their record to an ugly 9-16 for the season.

Chicago was not dead, though, and it rolls into tonight's game riding a five game winning streak and sporting a 17-18 record. As anyone who follows the Bulls knows, the team's rise from the ashes has been precipitated by its stifling defense.

The Bulls, who are second only to Indiana in points per game allowed with a 91.6 average, have allowed an average of 86.5 points per contest since last month's meeting with Oklahoma City.

Those numbers do not bode well for a Washington squad that has lost five of its last seven games to fall to 16-19 overall. The Wizards have also failed to top the 100 point mark in five of their last seven games.

Nonetheless, what Washington has done of late is win on the road. The Wizards are 6-2 in their last eight away games, earning wins over the Knicks, Nets, Celtics, Pistons, Bobcats, and Pelicans.

Notable Trends: The Wizards are 4-0 both straight up and against the spread in their last four games as a road dog with a spread between 0 and 3.5 points.
