The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers open post All Star Game action tonight with a rubber match battle at the STAPLES Center. Tip off in this evening's clash between the Spurs and Clippers is set for 10:30pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on NBA TV. According to the latest NBA Odds, the Clippers are a -5.5 against the spread home favorite and the Over/Under is set at 211 points.

The Clippers sent a strong message to the Spurs when these two Western Conference rivals hooked at the STAPLES Center on December 16th. Los Angeles pounded San Antonio 115-92 as Chris Paul and Blake Griffin combined for 50 points.

The Spurs countered with a message of their own last month, though, producing a 116-92 win against the Paul-less Clippers at the AT&T Center. San Antonio got 17 points and nine assists from Tony Parker as well as a 19 point, 11 rebound double-double from Tim Duncan.

The Clippers, who lead the Pacific Division with a 37-18 record, are 14-5 since their most recent meeting with the Spurs and they had won three straight games heading into All Star weekend.

Los Angeles, which closes out a five game home stand this evening, bounced back from a 112-116 loss to the Heat on February 5th with double digit wins over Toronto and Philadelphia and a 122-117 triumph over Portland.

San Antonio entered the break on a 2-2 run, earning wins over the Bobcats and Celtics while suffering losses to the Nets and Pistons.

The Spurs, who 2-3 in their last five games against the Clippers at the STAPLES Center, have not played at home since February 1st; they will close out their current nine game road swing on February 21st in Phoenix.

Notable Trends: The Clippers are 5-2 straight up but 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games playing at home when coming off three straight wins (courtesy of Dr. Meyer's SDQL).
