The Denver Nuggets will look to end their recent struggles when they welcome the Indiana Pacers to the Pepsi Center later tonight. Unfortunately for Brian Shaw's squad, the NBA odds makers at 5Dimes are anticipating an Indiana victory. The Pacers are favored at -2.5 against the spread and -140 on the money line ($140 wins $100) while the Nuggets are getting +120 odds to win outright ($100 wins $120). The Over/Under in this evening's East versus West battle, which is scheduled to get underway at 9:00pm ET, is set at 201 points.

The 20-21 Nuggets were rolling at the start of the start of the new year, posting a 5-1 record in their first six January games, but they have slipped of late. Denver lost its third straight game and for the fourth time in its last five outings on Thursday night when the Trail Blazers handed it a 110-105 setback at the Moda Center in Portland.

Under the leadership of George Karl the Nuggets enjoyed great success at the Pepsi Center so tonight's return to Denver would have been greatly welcomed by the previous regime; however, with Shaw in charge the team's once formidable home court advantage has withered.

Denver is a modest 11-9 within the confines of its own arena and it has already suffered losses to the Sixers and Cavaliers, two teams who are a combined 30-56, this month.

Indiana, which is in the midst of a five game Western Conference road swing, was dealt a rare loss on Wednesday night, falling 100-124 to the hot shooting Suns at the US Airways Center. It did regroup last night in Sacramento, though.

The Pacers topped the Kings, who have been a tough out at home this season, 116-111 in overtime to bring their record to 34-8. The victory also brought Indiana's road record to an impressive 13-7.

Nonetheless, the Pacers have dropped the last four games in this inter-conference series, losing two games at home and two games at the Pepsi Center.

Notable Trends: The Pacers are 2-3 straight up and 0-5 against the spread in their last five games as a road favorite with a total between 200 and 205 points.
