The surging Chicago Bulls will attempt to keep their recent momentum intact tonight as they lock horns with the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center (7:30pm ET start time, YES Network). The latest NBA Friday odds are not in Chicago’s favor, though, as it is presently listed as a +3.5 against the spread road dog in this evening’s contest. The total in tonight’s game is set at 180.5 points; the Nets are drawing -165 moneyline odds to win their 28th game of the season.
Chicago has won five of its last six games to improve to 28-17 overall, but the majority of those victories came at the United Center. The Bulls opened a six game road swing with a 104-88 win at Milwaukee on Wednesday night, but their upcoming slate gets considerably more difficult starting tonight (Nets, Hawks, Pacers, Nuggets, Jazz).
Chicago has to feel good about its chances this evening, though. The Nets have dropped three of their last four games and they are coming off an embarrassing 105-85 home loss to the defending champion Heat.
It should be noted Brooklyn had won eight straight home games prior to Wednesday night’s setback against Miami. What should also be mentioned is the Bulls recent success against the Nets.
Chicago knocked off Brooklyn for the sixth time in eight games when the two squads met at the United Center on December15th and it has three wins in its last six games as a visitor in this series.
Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets NBA Odds:
Chicago Bulls +3.5 (-110), Over 180.5 (-110), +145 (Moneyline)
Brooklyn Nets -3.5 (-110), Under 180.5 (-110), -165 (Moneyline)
