Two of the Western Conference's hotter team will butt heads tonight as the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves meet at the Target Center in Minneapolis. This evening's clash between the Grizzlies and Wolves is scheduled to get underway at 8:00pm ET. The latest NBA Betting Odds are favoring Memphis at -1.5 against the spread; tonight's game total is set at 189.5 points.

Memphis presently sits fourth in the Southwest standings with a 24-20 record, but it is playing better basketball than any team in the division right now. The Grizzlies extended their current winning streak to four games on Wednesday night with a 99-89 triumph over the Kings in Sacramento.

The victory saw Memphis, which has also won nine of its last 10 games, shoot 54.7 percent from the field and 81.3 percent from the free throw line.

The Grizzlies would seemingly face a bigger challenge tonight in the Timberwolves. It should be noted, though, that Minnesota is missing its third leading scorer and its second best rebounder tonight in Nikola Pekovic, but that did not affect the team in either of its last two games.

The Timberwolves wiped out the Bulls 95-86 on Monday in Chicago and they defeated the Pelicans at the Target Center 88-77 on Wednesday night to improve to 23-22 overall. Kevin Love more than made up for Pekovic's absence, tallying 61 points and 22 rebounds in the two contests.

Love will need a similar effort tonight as Minnesota seeks its second win of the season against the Grizzlies. The Timberwolves topped Memphis 101-93 at the FedEX Forum on December 15th to snap an 11 game losing streak to the Grizzlies. Love posted 30 points and nine rebounds in that contest.

Notable Trends: The Timberwolves are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games playing as an underdog after recording back to back wins.
